Washington Students
GW Students may enroll in UROL 303 as a third year elective. Students observe and assist in surgeries and follow their respective patients from admission until discharge thus establishing a pattern of continuity of care. Students will also experience patient care in an outpatient setting by seeing patients in the urology clinic under the supervision of the faculty.
Acting Internship
Acting Interns will be treated as a urology intern with the same responsibilities and opportunities as a resident. Responsibilities include caring for their personal patients as well as overseeing the third year medical students and their respective patients. Opportunities include observing and assisting on surgical cases and participating in patient care in an outpatient setting in the urology clinic under the supervision of faculty members.
